Senior Embedded Software Engineer

We are currently working with a large international technology company that is continuing to expand its engineering operation in Limerick. Due to ongoing growth across a number of product lines, they are seeking an experienced Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join their R&D team.

This is an excellent opportunity to work within a strong multidisciplinary engineering environment developing next-generation embedded systems and connected technologies used globally.

As a Senior Embedded Software Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and development of embedded software across complex hardware platforms. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including electronics, systems, QA, and product engineering while contributing across the full software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop embedded software in C/C++
• Work on real-time and low-level embedded systems
• Develop software for microcontroller and embedded Linux platforms
• Collaborate with hardware and systems engineering teams
• Participate in software architecture and technical design discussions
• Support debugging, validation, and performance optimisation activities
• Contribute to code reviews and software quality processes
• Work within Agile development environments
